Another Break-Up: Gorillaz?

February is supposed to be the month of friendship and love. But, judging by the number of bands calling it quits (The White Stripes, etc.), that's not the case this year.

Unfortunately for Gorillaz fans, the heavy rumors that the band is breaking up have turned out to be true. People reports that the Damon Albarn’s cartoon band Gorillaz has cut the chord.

It looks like Albarn and his Gorillaz bandmate Jamie Hewlett, both 42, has a few fights and just couldn’t patch things up. Hewlett was frustrated with how much time Albarn was spending on other projects (um, Blur?) and "less than impressed with Jamie’s party lifestyle."

Gorillaz first got together in 1998 and hit it big with the single, "Clint Eastwood." They went onto release three studio albums and selling units in the millions.

At the moment, Albarn is working with Blur.
